Independent reporter Glenn Greenwald on Friday accused former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former FBI Director James Comey after Clinton tried to use the Trump indictment to sell merchandise.
President Trump announced Thursday night in a post on Truth Social that he had been charged with mishandling more than 300 classified documents. President Trump said his attorney informed him of the charges against him and he was summoned to appear in federal court in Miami on June 13. The indictment reportedly includes at least seven charges, including conspiracy to cover up false statements and representations, and willful retention.Defense Information, ABC News report.
Clinton wasted no time trying to use the opportunity to sell hats bearing the slogan “But Her Emails.”
Greenwald hit back at Clinton’s tweet, blaming both her and Comey. (Related: Donald Trump announces major reforms in legal defense)
“James Comey nearly admitted that Hillary committed a felony mishandling classified information, namely, installing a private server in her home. The reason she didn’t prosecute was because Comey hated Trump and really wanted to see him lose. Now she thinks it’s funny.”
James Comey has all but admitted that Hillary committed a felony mishandling classified information — installing a private server in his home. As Comey made clear, they didn’t prosecute her because Comey hated Trump and was desperate to see him lose.

“Virtually every US institution except the military has suffered a great loss of trust and credibility among the public (and it is not a healthy sign in a democracy that the military is the only one to be respected). / The blatant politicization of the FBI is very dangerous,” Greenwald continued.

Clinton was not indicted, but Comey said in 2016 there was “evidence of possible violations of classified information laws.”
Despite Comey’s claims, continuation“It is our judgment that a reasonable prosecutor would not initiate such a case.”
