‘God Has Me Covered’: Delivery Driver Saves Elderly Woman In Wheelchair From House Fire

The Alabama Amazon delivery driver jumped into action on February 16th, saving the woman and her elderly mother from a home fire.

Naima Elmore I said WSAZ She had regular shifts. She was delivering packages in Shelby County when she noticed smoke in the air and a nearby home was burning.

“I didn’t even think about my life back then, Elmore told the outlet.

She leaves the birth van and runs into the house to help the woman and her older mother leave the burning house wvtm It has been reported. Elmore told the outlet that she carried her down the stairs before returning to the house to grab a wheelchair.

“I put out myself because I feel like God is trying to cover me. That’s how I get in my way. God covers me up. So I need to focus on them, and that’s how strength comes in. Many people always ask me how I do it. It’s It’s truly a god,” she told WVTM.

“If it was my family, I wish someone would do the same for me,” she said.

The delivery driver returned to her route after learning that no one was injured in the fire, including the animals inside.

“I’ll do it again. I’m encouraging others to do the same,” she told WSAZ.

The cause of the house’s fire remains under investigation, the North Shelby County Fire Department told WVTM.
