‘Going To Serve Every Brand Of Beer’: Garth Brooks Appears To Stick Up For Bud Light

Garth Brooks announced that “any brand of beer” will be available after promoting a new bar in Nashville, Tennessee.

The country music star is opening a new bar, Friends in Low Places, in Nashville’s South Broadway neighborhood. In a statement Wednesday on Billboard Country Live, he said the bar will probably serve all brands of beer, including Bud Light. Brooks’ comments seem to imply that Bud Light is currently under heavy scrutiny. Back in April, Bud Light collaborated with transgender TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The company gave the influencer a special beer can with his face on it to commemorate “365 days of Girls’ Generation.” Since then, Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch, has lost billions of dollars in stake due to boycotts over its influencer partnerships. After the Dylan Mulvaney controversy, Bud Light faced further backlash after Vice President of Marketing Alyssa Gordon Heinerscheidt deemed their image “vile” and “out of the ordinary”. The Daily Caller reported a photo of Heinerscheidt doing something similar earlier.
