Golfer Hits One Of The Greatest Shots Ever, And It Might Even Make Phil Mickelson Jealous

Go over there, Phil Mickelson. A new king has been born in town.

Mickelson Possibly has one of the best drivers off the deck (Department of Defense) Shots are used as weapons in all areas of golf. his Department of Defense The swing is smoother than a stick of butter It was heated in the microwave for 7 seconds. He hits his driver about 300 yards to the pin and rolls the ball onto the green, making it look incredibly easy. (Related: Legendary golfer Phil Mickelson reacts to Daniel Penny incident)

Well, on Christmas Eve, we may have found a new Pentagon king. John Loftus of the Daily Caller hit one of the best shots I’ve ever seen with a driver from a basically frozen fairway. It was a Pentagon shot that rivaled Mickelson’s best shot in years — and It was all caught on camera.

Loftus was playing scrambles with this stepbrother and the boys were fully dialed in throughout the entire round. On the first long par 5 of the day, Loftus hit his drive straight into the fairway. My brother-in-law nailed a layup on the next shot and got within 150 yards of the pin for his third shot. Loftus briefly considered hitting a layup, but maybe he could move a little closer for an easier third. But deep down, Loftus knew he wanted to cook.

Would you like to roll the dice? Why not aim for the green? Why not let the driver loose and let him bark? In some cases, you may need to put your driver into timeout mode. But there are times when drivers need to make a day of it.

Loftus was seeking glory. He was looking for a chance, a glimmer of hope. The only way to do this was with a driver. His 3-wood hybrid wasn’t going to get him there. He needed Big Papi.

The thing about DOD shots is that even if you swing straight, the ball will probably slice violently. So you have to aim almost ridiculously far away from the target and trust the ball to slice right where you want it.

That’s exactly what Loftus did. On the next hole, I aimed as if I was aiming for the tee box. He made the club do the job. There’s no need to push Big Papi over the edge. Let Big Papi work his magic.

It was one of the cleanest shots Loftus had ever hit. He was almost shocked that it worked as he watched the ball snake by the greenside bunker and almost roll onto the green. He barely reacted. It was the stuff of legend.

P.S. The boys missed the eagle chip by a very small margin, but made an eagle on the final hole.
