Another day, another marketing survey. This is from the very trustworthy folks at Lawn Love, the same website that gave us a report on America’s best sandwich towns and best cities for bagel lovers. analysts rank the best cities for kid-friendly vacations. It seems that the survey target is limited only to large cities. That said, our region is well represented. Las Vegas ranks him 4th, and Los Angeles ranks him 9th. Southern California’s Moreno Valley ranked last on the list.

Spring tends to start early in Lake Havasu City, with college students on spring break as early as late February. But don’t tell Mother Nature that. She’s not ready to give up her winter ways just yet. No need to complain at this time of year, but other parts of Arizona are experiencing much cooler temperatures and all the weather problems that come with it. The Arizona Department of Transportation warned drivers this week to reconsider traveling on high-altitude highways. Drivers should plan for rain, wet roads and snow at high altitudes. ADOT reminds you to slow down while driving, allow plenty of space, and prepare for changing weather. That means having extra clothing and gloves as part of your emergency preparedness kit in case you need to stop on the highway.
