goodyear police A 34-year-old woman who has been missing since Easter Sunday is said to have been found dead in the Heber area.

Jessica White’s family told 12News that she left her family’s home near Estrella Parkway and Willis Road in her 2005 Acura TL just after 1pm on April 9.

“She said ‘goodbye’ and looked like she was wearing black boots, so I just assumed she was going hiking with her backpack. That was the last time I spoke to her.” said Jessica’s mother, Julie Marks.

A few hours after she left home, Marks texted White to tell her dinner was ready, but she didn’t reply.

“A few hours later, I texted her again and said, ‘Please let me know you’re okay,'” Marks said. “And again a few hours later. I texted her again. None. Then I called and she was off.”

Shortly after 7 a.m., she called the police and reported her missing.

Goodyear police rang White’s phone. As a result, they found that her last known location was off Highway 260 near the community of Overgard, nearly 200 miles from her home.

The family has no relatives or friends in the area, Marks said. She didn’t even hike there.

Goodyear Police said the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office found White’s body.

Authorities have not released the cause of White’s death.
