Oregon always pushes the envelope, and they'll do it again this time.
As the Oregon Ducks enter a new conference (the Big Ten) and enter a new era, the men's basketball program has come up with a new court design for Matthew Knight Arena to celebrate it all. The design was unveiled Sunday.
“Our roots have always been here,” begins the launch video posted to social media, “derived from the original Tinker Hatfield designs.” (RELATED: LeBron's agent says the self-proclaimed King may leave the team even if his son, Bronny, is drafted by the Lakers)
At center court, the previous “O” is now more prominent, and the tree design has been reimagined, but the same concept remains, reminding opponents they are “deep in the woods” while playing basketball in Eugene.
Oregon applied stain to the court to further accentuate the natural hues, with the Ducks' apple green adorning the baseline.
It’s a pretty flashy coat.
What do you think of Oregon's new basketball court design? 👀👏

But there could be one big problem…the ducks on the court might actually be geese (LOL).
.@PFT commentator I'm not sure how Oregon MBB didn't notice, but the new coats have geese printed on them instead of ducks, and with their long necks and wide wingspans it's pretty clear that these are not ducks. pic.twitter.com/tSJjnDVQG9
