GOP Senator Suffers Brain Bleed After Slipping On Ice

Republican North Dakota Sen. Kevin Kramer suffered a brain injury Sunday afternoon after sliding on ice in the backyard of his North Dakota home.

Kramer, 64, said he was hospitalized and diagnosed with “severe concussion, seizures and slight cerebral hemorrhage.” statement It was posted on Facebook on Monday night. He said he doesn’t know when he plans to return to Washington, D.C., but could return quickly for a critical vote if necessary. “Late yesterday afternoon, I’m going to walk to my backyard and get back the conduit that was lying on the ice,” Kramer wrote. “While walking up the hill to the dock, I walked on the ice, fell sharply and hit the back of my head. I don’t remember anything until I arrived in the fall. Sanford Health Emergency room [wife] Chris. After seeing an emergency doctor, having had several tests, including a CT scan and seeing a neurologist, I was diagnosed with a severe concussion, a seizure and slight cerebral hemorrhage. ”

“The wound on my head didn’t stop oozing out, so the doctor punched some staple foods into the tears and admitted me,” Kramer said. “I slept soundly before I had my second CT scan. I’m fine with just a slight brain bleeding and a pretty bad headache today. My doctor prefers me to take a little more rest before I get back to DC. , I don’t know exactly when it will happen. The statement did not clarify whether Cramer was still recognized at North Dakota Hospital, where he had taken care of his seizures and cerebral hemorrhage.

The Senate is set to check out additional Trump candidates this week, including Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll and US trade representative Jamieson Greer. Given the 53-seat majority of Senate Republicans, Senate GOP leadership will have enough votes to confirm presidential candidates despite Cramer’s absence.

Cramer serves his second Senate term and is a member of several prominent Senate committees, including the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee.
