SACRAMENTO–Gov. Gavin Newsom today announced the following appointments:
54-year-old Joseph Cruz of Sacramento has been appointed to the California Transportation Commission. Cruz has been Executive Director of the California Workers’ Council since 2021. From 2018 he was a partner and lobbyist for Cruise Strategy until 2021 and from 2011 he was a Legislative Advocate for the California Workers’ Council until 2018. From 2000 he was with the California Alliance for Jobs until 2011.
