Gradually warming up through the weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Yuma County will see balmy weather today with wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph, which could be a little stronger at times.

Yuma County's winds will continue through at least Sunday, while Imperial County will experience moderate winds.

Clouds will move through the weekend, but the next few days will remain dry.

As the high pressure ridge continues to develop this weekend, temperatures will eventually rise.
By next week, the temperature will be nearly 10 degrees above normal.

Looking ahead, a more active weather pattern is expected to return to the region over the next weekend.

Although it's still too early to reveal all the details and potential precipitation, above-average rain is expected to begin February.

Temperatures will gradually increase into the mid to upper 70s starting early next week.

Thursday marks the start of February, and it looks like wet weather will arrive in the desert southwest.
