Gutfeld Criticizes Police Chief for Leaving Out One Important Detail About Cincinnati Street Fight

Conflict Erupts Over Cincinnati Street Fight Footage

Greg Gutfeld from Fox News found himself in a heated discussion with Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge on Tuesday, leading to her gaining significant attention online.

Theetge had mentioned that the circulating video of a recent brawl doesn’t capture the full context of the event.

A viral video emerged on Saturday showing a disorderly street fight at the intersection of Elm and Force Streets, resulting in charges against five suspects. While commenting on Theetge’s remarks during a segment of “Five,” Gutfeld highlighted the apparent hypocrisy, suggesting that discussions about context seem to follow only one narrative.

“I thought places like New York were free-pass zones for punches,” Theetge said, expressing frustration about how quickly someone can be released from custody after such incidents. Gutfeld remarked, “You don’t grasp the entire story.”

He continued, “If we can’t trust our eyes, then educate us on the truth. Simply saying ‘this is awful’ while blaming social media doesn’t sit right. It’s curious how these contextual conversations seem so one-sided.”

During a press conference on Monday, Theetge noted that officers arrived at the scene within six minutes after the first 911 call came in around 3:06 AM.

She criticized social media and traditional journalists, claiming that they complicate matters, alleging that they misrepresent the situation.

Theetge pointed out that online commentary and reporting have distorted the events, making law enforcement’s job even harder.

Gutfeld referenced cases like that of Marine Corps veteran Daniel Penny, who is facing manslaughter charges after responding to erratic behavior on a subway. He remarked, “In the case of the Covington students, the context was ignored. What will the narrative be for this incident?”

“I’m sure we’ll see it unfold,” he stated, referring to how narratives are constructed around similar cases. “We’ve watched countless hours of footage related to political tensions globally, and yet, we’re told to stay silent.”

The footage that has been shared widely depicts a chaotic brawl on the streets of Cincinnati, where a man is seen being stomped by others, ultimately leading to him collapsing.

While five individuals are currently facing charges, Theetge mentioned that they anticipate more charges since around “100” people witnessed the confrontation.
