defense end Haason Reddick After agreeing to a new contract with the New York Jets, he finally decided to end his tenure and will officially join the franchise after Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. PFT reports that Jets owner Woody Johnson was heavily involved in making the deal.

Back in the offseason, New York acquired Redick from the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade. After that, he held a press conference with the organization, but ultimately made the decision to refrain from both the mandatory minicamp and training camp. He was looking for a new contract with Philadelphia, but ended up being traded to the Jets, and he requested a trade from the Jets after the fact. New York has allowed him to look for a team to affiliate with for a potential transfer, but fast forward to this point and Redick will remain a Jet player.

I have to give Woody Johnson a little credit here, this guy is doing everything he can to win — Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams And now Haason Reddick?

And the last two are just last week. Of course, it’s not going to work considering how dysfunctional the Jets are, but Woody still deserves some points for the effort.
