Halversen named Arizona’s top administrator of justice

PHOENIX — Outstanding Achievement by Graham County Court Administrator Recognized by State Supreme Court.

Judge Chief Josh Halversen, who is also the superintendent of probation, was recently awarded the 2022 Justice Administration Award.

This is the first time Graham County has been awarded in the Supreme Court’s Lifetime Achievement Awards category, which includes Outstanding Contribution to the Arizona Courts, Judge of the Year, Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award, and Judicial Management Award.

Graham County Superior Court Judge Michael Peterson said on social media, “Josh, thank you for your hard work and dedication to our county.

The Graham County Court was recognized by the Supreme Court in 2012, and then-Superintendent of Probation Sandra Figueroa was a co-recipient of the 2012 Protected Children, Families and Communities Award.

Nominations for the Supreme Court’s next round of Strategic Agenda Awards are now open.
