Harrison Ford’s Incomplete Star Wars Script To Be Auctioned In London: REPORT

Harrison Ford's unfinished 1976 Star Wars script will be auctioned next month by Excalibur Auctions in London, according to multiple reports.

Ford, who played Han Solo in the original film, reportedly left the script behind in his apartment in 1976. according to BBC. At the time, he was reportedly working on what would become Star Wars Episode IV – A New Hope.

The script was the fourth draft of the original Star Wars movie, which was then called The Adventures of Luke Starkiller, the newspaper reported. According to the BBC, the script includes pages in different colors to indicate that revisions have been made. The script reportedly includes characters and scenes that did not make it into the final cut of the film. (Related: New Star Wars movie announced).

According to a BBC report, the owner of the apartment is putting the script up for auction. The script is reportedly expected to sell for between 8,000 and 12,000 pounds, or about $10,000 to $15,000 USD.

According to the BBC, the owners said Ford “was a very decent and wonderful tenant.”

“He was the ideal tenant. We had a really good time,” the owners continued.

The couple who own the apartment complex apparently discovered the script years ago, but only recently decided to put it up for auction, Fox Business reported. report. Excalibur Auctions said it will also sell other items from the apartment, including the actor's handwritten notes, call sheets, shooting schedules and letters from Ford's managers discussing future films and contracts.

“The emotional backstories of these items make them even more appealing to avid 'Star Wars' fans,” said auctioneer Jonathan Torode of Excalibur Auctions, as reported by Fox Business. We expect there to be a lot of interest from within the country.”

According to the BBC, the script will be auctioned off at Excalibur Auctions on February 17th.
