Havasu man apprehended after vehicle pursuit, crash | Kingman Daily Miner

City of Lake Havasu – Police in the City of Lake Havasu said no one was injured when they encountered the wanted subject on February 16.

Officers took notice when Corey Marks, 35, of Lake Havasu City, was reportedly seen sleeping in a car parked on the 200 block of Swanson Avenue.

“Marks has been the subject of several recent violent criminal investigations during which he displayed violent tendencies, was known to own multiple firearms, was armed and “Patrols, along with members of the Street Crime Unit, approached in armored vehicles and began issuing orders to Marks.”

Terinoni said Marks did not comply, running around the armored vehicle and briefly evading officers in a short police chase.

“Marks’ vehicle collided with an armored police vehicle near the intersection of State Route 95 and Swanson Avenue, ultimately rendering Marks’ vehicle inoperable,” Terinoni said. “Marks continued for a short distance and his car eventually came to a halt after leaving the highway and crashing into nearby landscaping.”

Marks was taken into custody without further incident, and officers reportedly seized multiple firearms from his vehicle. He was held in Kingman’s Mojave County Adult Detention Facility for various felonies, including aggravated assault on law enforcement, illegal flying, and resisting arrest.
