According to the media, Sussman then allegedly stabbed another employee, who told the grand jury, “He didn't say anything. He was just screaming like he had the devil inside him.”
KLAS reported that hoteliers, who had stepped up security because the casino was hosting a concert that night, confronted Sussman as he sat outside the casino's restaurant. Police said Sussman was holding a bloody knife and told security, “My heart's beating fast!”
“It was a blessing by God that we had so many police officers on the floor for the concert,” the officer said.
According to KLAS, the video shows Sussman lunging at officers and running through the casino with them on pursuit, before turning around and attempting to slash an officer, but another officer takes him down with one shot.
According to KLAS, court documents state that Susan allegedly tried to sell drugs to an off-duty security guard in a casino bathroom that evening, and that he later underwent a blood test at a hospital that showed he had alcohol and THC in his system.
Authorities have charged Sussman with multiple offenses, including three counts of attempted murder, according to KLAS. He is currently being held on $500,000 bail and awaits arraignment on October 15.
