GILABEND, Arizona — A woman died late Saturday night and several others were hospitalized after two vehicles collided head-on on California Route 85, said a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office spokesman. said.
The crash reportedly occurred around 11:30 p.m. near Milepost 123, just north of Girabend.
First responders declared the woman dead, but other injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
At this time, authorities have not released the cause of the crash or the identity of the deceased. It is also unclear whether the woman was driving one of the vehicles involved.
