Northern and southern Alabama play a key role as Breeze Airways brings the West Coast to the East.
The airline announced Tuesday that it will add nonstop flights from Huntsville International Airport to Los Angeles starting June 14. Breeze also said passengers will fly on a new Mobil Airbus A220 manufactured for Breeze.
It will also be the only nonstop flight from the Yellowhammer State to the City of Angels.
“This new nonstop service from Huntsville to Los Angeles is a great indicator of how well Breeze is doing in the Huntsville community,” said Trey Bentley, Huntsville Port Board Chairman. “The addition of HSV to LAX demonstrates the dedication Breeze has to serving our market and recognizes the success they are enjoying here.

“Breeze Airways offers what our customers have been looking for: non-stop air service to attractive leisure destinations at affordable prices.”
Breeze has selected Huntsville as one of the first cities it will serve when it launches operations in May 2021. The airline flies nonstop from Huntsville to Las Vegas, Orlando and Tampa. The new route will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, with fares starting at $129 one-way.
Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle said, “We're happy when east meets west, but even more so when that route leads directly to Huntsville.” “Rocket City is home to many businesses in Los Angeles and is also a great area for leisure travel.
“Thank you Breeze Airways for continuing to invest in Huntsville.”
To celebrate Breeze's announcement that it is adding 10 Airbus A220 aircraft, Breeze is offering a 20% discount on all round-trip base fares. Guests can use code “A220” at checkout on the Breeze app or flybreeze.com Discounts are valid on base fares for travel from March 6th to September 3rd.
Breeze flies to 49 destinations across the United States.
With demand for additional routes increasing, as evidenced by record passenger growth at Huntsville International Airport in 2023, Breeze Airways executives have announced that the Los Angeles route will serve North Alabama and South Central Tennessee. He said he expects the market to perform well.
“We expect this summer's flights to be as popular as those from HSV to Las Vegas, Orlando and Tampa,” Breeze CEO Tom Doxey said.
