Helios Alliance, Poarch Band collaborate to fight state opioid crisis


Two Alabama organizations, Helios Alliance and Poach Band of Creek Indians, are working together to combat the opioid epidemic sweeping the state.

“We are truly honored to work with the Helios Alliance in our shared mission to combat the opioid crisis and associated problems with drug addiction,” said Poarch Band of Creek Indians Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said Stephanie A. Bryan, CEO. “We are confident that our mutual commitment to the well-being of all Alabamians and our shared determination to pursue innovative solutions to this complex and heartbreaking problem will bring great promise to our community.” I believe we can have a great impact.”

Both organizations will bring their respective areas of expertise to bear in the fight against the epidemic. Helios will provide expertise in public health and addiction solutions, and Porch Band will continue its tradition of contributing to the well-being of the community.

Helios Alliance is a nonprofit organization that promotes collaboration to advance positive change in public health. The Helios Alliance said it aims to address pressing health challenges and build healthier societies by uniting leaders, experts and communities.
