Radio host Charlaman the God told Black Americans on Wednesday not to get carried away with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Vice President Kamala Harris' pick as her running mate.
Harris nominated Walz on Tuesday, but some in the media have called him an “uncle” and a “fatherCharlemagne said,Breakfast Club” advised “Black people” in particular not to view Walz as part of their family and that they needed to “embrace” each other and not “white politicians.” (RELATED: Harris once bragged about working “behind the scenes” to get transgender inmates sex-reassignment surgery)

“Black people, you don't need to fall in love with a politician. It's just funny to me how black people are so quick to jump on a white politician's penis. I can't believe it,” Charmagne said. “You don't need to give Tim Waltz a cute nickname. You don't need to have a slogan like, 'Waltz through the window.' You don't need to do that.”
“I wish we could love each other as quickly as we embrace white politicians,” he added. “I mean, the white politician just has to put on the cape. He's not your uncle, okay? He's not your coach. He's not your fun dad. He's a politician. Let's treat this as business, okay? You don't have to fall in love with him.”
Walz has a far-left record on issues including immigration, gender and religion.
CNN host Brianna Keilar on Tuesday asked the network's senior political commentator David Axelrod whether Walz's liberal record was overshadowed by his attractive looks and personality.
“He's like everybody's uncle, you know? … He has that appeal. Can you talk about that? … Why it's important, I think it's his look and his attitude — his outspokenness — that trumps his history?” she asked.
“You never look at this guy and think, 'This guy seems like a crazy left-wing extremist,' because he doesn't sound like that, he doesn't talk like that,” Axelrod said. “Most of his work is economically oriented and about working class and working class issues, and in fact that's what Kamala Harris is campaigning on and probably should be campaigning on if she wants to win. But I'm sure there will be a battle on the Republican side over how to define Kamala Harris versus Tim Walz.”
