Two Hoover, Alabama real estate agents have been selected to star in a new nationally syndicated HGTV show. “American Dreams” will feature Jordan Maceide Hosey of HBH Realtors and her colleague James Savell.
by Hoover SunHosted by real estate industry professionals from across the U.S., the show educates, empowers and engages audiences with positive media about their local communities and content that highlights the lifestyle and culture of communities across the country. Each episode explores what makes a particular neighborhood unique and is designed to inspire viewers to achieve their own American dream.
“A lot of real estate shows tend to portray real estate in a more dramatic light,” says Masaaid Hosey. “Craig Sewing, the CFO of the show we're filming, wanted to change the story and portray real estate in a more positive light, while also showcasing the voice of real estate agents in the market.”
“Hoover has a lot to offer,” Maceid-Hosey said, “and unlike a lot of other big cities, we want to show how progressive and diverse Hoover is and how well-connected our community is while still being affordable to live in.”
“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we are very excited.”
“We want to represent the city of Hoover well and let others know how great it is to live here.”
Savell explained his role in “The American Dream.”
“I'll be taking viewers on a journey exploring the lifestyle, culture and real estate that shapes Birmingham and the surrounding areas,” Savell said. “The show will be a rollercoaster of excitement, and as I'm a foodie, I'll definitely be taking everyone on a culinary tour.”
“We travel to different neighborhoods with all kinds of real estate and interview local residents, business owners, celebrity guests, philanthropists and more.”
He also detailed how he was chosen to host the new show, saying he hopes it will help showcase “our amazing hometown.”
“I thought, 'Sure, why not? Let's see what happens'. After I responded to that first email, it all evolved fast. A few Zoom meetings later, I got a call from one of the producers whilst having lunch one afternoon, congratulating me on having been chosen as one of five presenters to represent Birmingham and the surrounding area.”
“I want to inspire, educate and spotlight the aspects of our community that make so many Alabamians proud to call Alabama home.”
“I want viewers to watch the show and think, 'I want to live there, too.'”
Filming for the show will begin in May, with episodes featuring Maceid Khoji and Savel to be released in June.
Episodes can be found on HGTV, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Travel Channel, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and ROKU.
