The highlight of the game had to come in the second quarter, and that’s what brought the flying referee.
Clifton Duck, who played defensive back for Appalachian State in college and then for the NFL’s Chicago Bears, intercepted the Tulsa quarterback in the end zone. As Duck was putting the ball back on the field, the referee happened to get in his way and Duck had nowhere to go, so well… let him see for himself.

Holy cow, hey!
He was flown so high he had to sing a R. Kelly classic.
I don’t mean to make fun of him, but I think both the hit and the landing on the grass hurt. But wow… even the referee couldn’t help but put a nice smile on that clip when we went back and watched it. (Related: Uh… What? Texas Longhorns Football Posts Weird Video To Social Media)
Painful, but hilariously classic. If I were that zebra, I’d be proud of this.
