Home and Landscape Show returns to Glendale | News

The Maricopa County Home & Landscape Show is back, bringing together local vendors and artisans and giving attendees a place to get home improvement products and inspiration.

“We're going to have some really cool landscape exhibits at this (show),” said Brianna Dibrell, event coordinator for the home show. She said: “There will be businesses that use space just for inspiration and to show the great things they can do. So we're putting a lot of emphasis on landscape renewal and inspiration.”

The show will be held from Friday, February 23rd through Sunday, February 25th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at State Farm Stadium.

The Home and Landscape Show began in 1982 as a single show at the Arizona State Fairgrounds. From there, the show continued to grow, adding dates and moving to Westworld. Currently, his five shows a year are held at various venues around the Valley.

The purpose of this show is to allow residents to meet one-on-one with these leading companies to shop, compare, save and find the best company for your renovation or home improvement project.

In addition to hundreds of hardware store stalls, the show will also feature craft workshops such as how to plant the Japanese plant kokedama, which guests can take home. You can also use Chola wood and bleach to naturally stamp a pattern on your tote bag and take it home with you. Finally, there will be workshops on paper collage and scrapbooking.

New to this year's Maricopa County Home and Landscape Show is a partnership with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control to provide on-site animal adoptions.

In addition to craft workshops, the show will also offer seminars taught by master gardeners on how to attract wildlife such as hummingbirds, bees and butterflies to your backyard and how to plant succulents.

“We have a main stage at each show where we host home improvement-related seminars,” Dibrell said. “So, we're going to have a panel discussion. We're going to have lawn panels, window panels, solar panels, and painted panels. And we're going to have three of our top companies go head-to-head and answer questions, and the audience is going to have a panel discussion. You will gain a deeper understanding of this subject.”

What's new is that the Home and Landscape Show is partnering with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) to offer on-site animal adoptions. In addition to adoptions, MCACC also accepts donations and distributes free tickets. For every person who donates a leash or collar, he receives a free admission ticket. If you donate one pack of at least 50 puppy pads, he will receive two free admission tickets. Admit your pet for free for the entire weekend.

“We also have a relatively new kids' corner. We only started incorporating kids' workshop areas into our shows a couple of shows ago,” Dibrell said.

“We will be holding a slime making workshop hosted by a local slime studio called Slime City Studio. Gardening seminars will be held in the kids corner where you can make bird seed decorations and attract animals and birds to your garden. can.”

Dibrell said there will be many different types of shows residents can look forward to in the future, including a cooking show and Arizona's first home and flower show.

Dibrell emphasized that the Home and Landscape Show is a perfect resource for homeowners.

“We not only provide the information you need for your next home improvement project, but we also educate you on gardening tips, home improvement tips, and things you can do yourself,” Dibrell says. “So don’t just come here and shop, come here and learn.”
