Labor of Love hosted a random kindness event for foothills packers and recognized Martin Valdez as an outstanding employee.
“It's an honor and satisfaction because we're doing what we love and we're doing it with love,” Valdez said.
Labor of Love is a program of the Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association, which organizes events through its sponsors to celebrate Yuma County's farmworkers.
“Thank you for your dedication and passion. It shows the kind of person you are. Just like yesterday, a farm worker who was out of work came to work with you because you are a good person. They asked for it,” Foothill Packing Supervisor Javier Ruiz said.
AEA brought bags of goodies for employees, and Chili Pepper donated lunch to all crew members.
