Students will have the opportunity to explore with Ranger Derik on the 2.6-mile Baseline Trail and learn about the native plant and animal species found in the Sonoran Desert. We will be meeting at the Nature Center and heading out as a group from there. The trail is rocky and uneven, so it is encouraged that everyone wears sturdy close toed shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather. The Nature Center has bathrooms and well as a water fountain, so please fill up before we start the hike.
