Homeschooling, Edmunds received an offer from Arizona State University and attracted interest in recruiting from other colleges.

“He’s always been a hard worker, humble and talented,” Selway added of Edmonds, who also plays basketball.
Huntington Beach football coach Brett Brown said Tuesday he is aware of Edmonds’ addition.
“He has tremendous advantages,” Brown said. “a well-built athlete with big arms”
Huntington Beach went 5-6 last season. The Oilers finished fifth in the Sunset League, where he lost 34–28 to Orange in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 6 playoffs.
Senior Daunte Bell, transferred from Katella, was the team’s primary quarterback last season.
