Horace Cooper Identifies the Democrat Most Favored by a ‘Cancer Afflicting the World’s Oldest Political Party’

Concerns Over Ocasio-Cortez’s Influence in the Democratic Party

On Friday, Horace Cooper from Project 2021 expressed his thoughts on Fox News about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, suggesting that her growing influence could lead the Democratic Party away from traditional values.

While discussing her recent campaigning efforts, Cooper noted that Ocasio-Cortez may be eyeing a run for president in 2028 or possibly a Senate seat. Fox guest host Charles Hart remarked on her prominent role within the party, prompting Cooper to elaborate.

“It’s clear to me that this party lacks true leadership,” he stated. “They need to seek help—it’s almost as if a political virus is rapidly spreading.” He mentioned that many in the party seem to support Ocasio-Cortez, even in cases where her logic may falter.

Cooper continued, indicating a fear that the party could become heavily influenced by Ocasio-Cortez and her more radical beliefs, potentially leading to her securing a significant nomination.

On the same day, Ocasio-Cortez faced criticism from Republican members after her comments on the House floor, where she called out Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk as “uneducated.” She was among the Democrats who voted against a resolution honoring Kirk for his contributions, stating he embodied the qualities of a “courageous patriot.”

Since Donald Trump’s presidency began, Ocasio-Cortez has often opposed the administration, particularly regarding issues that impact voters, including immigration matters.

In May, she shared a social media video discussing the situation at a New Jersey immigration facility, suggesting that there were significant issues that needed to be addressed. Additionally, Democrats held virtual sessions advising illegal immigrants on how to navigate encounters with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Border authorities have cautioned Ocasio-Cortez about the repercussions of her actions, with warnings that arrests could be possible if lawmakers were to interfere with ICE agents.

Moreover, a recent survey indicated Ocasio-Cortez has an 11% chance of securing the Democratic nomination for 2028, trailing behind California Governor Gavin Newsom, who has a 36% likelihood.
