Horace Cooper Says Letting This Person Run The Senate Is ‘Last Example Of Going Completely And Totally Crazy’

Project 21’s Horace Cooper told Fox News on Friday that Democrats’ final “crazy” straw would place Democrat New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in place of Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer.

In a new poll released by left-leaning business data for progress, 55% of Democrats said they supported Ocasio-Cortez in the 2028 New York Senate primary, but only 36% have supported or leaned. Discussing the movement behind the Democratic leadership of “Honey,” Cooper warned the party’s progressives that “should not go completely crazy.”

“Look, when you’re having trouble at home because you don’t like what the electrician is doing, you don’t bring in the arsonist. I’m certainly not a Chuck Schumer fan, but progressives should keep in mind that you shouldn’t go completely crazy,” Cooper said.

“Mark Halperin said a week before the November election that if the trends point to where they’re headed, it’s very likely that they’ll see the mental health issues we’re observing,” Cooper added.

In March, Schumer fired fire from members of his own party after supporting a GOP-led spending bill to prevent government shutdowns. When Senate minority leaders called for him to step down, Schumer told NBC’s “meeting press” he would stay where he was. (Related: Left DEM gives AOC a dull rating as a potential party leader)

Cooper called for continued Democrats’ protest against the administrations of Elon Musk and President Donald Trump from the Department of Government Efficiency. He said the party members seem to have “lost their hearts.”

“Now in America, there are amazing psychotropic drugs that can stop you from hurting all the Tesla you see, and after many parties support high tariffs, we’ll vote almost unanimously with Rand Paul to ensure that there are no tariffs in Canada,” Cooper said.

“This insanity hurts the party and makes it difficult for Americans to believe there is someone who can lead them there,” Cooper said. “To hold the AOC in the Senate is just the last example of becoming completely totally crazy. They seem to have lost their hearts.”

According to the survey first obtained by Politico, Democrat respondents cited “threats to democracy,” “programs such as Social Security and Medicare,” and “economy, employment and inflation” as their biggest concerns.

Since Trump took office, Democrats have struggled to unify their message and leadership. A CNN/SSRS poll released on March 16 showed that the party’s favor fell to a record low of 29%. In particular, over 30% of respondents said they were unable to name Democratic leaders who “reflect the party’s core values”;

Of those who wrote their names, 10% chose Ocasio-Cortez, 9% supported former vice president Kamala Harris, 8% supported Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and 6% supported House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries. Only 4% wrote for former President Barack Obama and Texas Sen. Jasmine Crockett, but only 2% supported Schumer along with others.
