House Votes To Impeach DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas

The US House of Representatives voted 214-213 to impeach the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday after multiple failed attempts.

The resolution was originally introduced by Republican Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. In November, the House voted to refer articles of impeachment against Mayorkas to a committee. The House ultimately did not vote on the bill, as eight Republicans joined Democrats in voting to refer the resolution to a committee. The vote was 209-201.
