The City of Apache Junction will host a collection event for household hazardous waste, white goods, electronics recycling, and a paper shredder on Saturday, March 4th.
The event will be held at the City’s Public Works Yard, 575 E. Baseline, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Household hazardous waste collection is usually for items that cannot be placed in your regular trash. Residents may bring hazardous waste from home such as antifreeze (up to 20 gallons in up to 5 gallon containers), batteries (for cars/trucks and boats), oil motors only (up to 20 gallons in up to 5 gallon containers) can do. , paints (latex and oil-based, aerosols), and tires for passenger cars, light trucks and semi-trucks (rims are not accepted). Hazardous waste and tire collection is free.
White goods are large appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, stoves, washing machines and clothes dryers. All refrigerators and freezers must be emptied of food before accepting.
Electronic recycling includes personal computers, laptops, flat panel monitors, modems, switches, power cords, printers, wires and cables, mice, keyboards, hard drives, floppies, DVD or CD drives, telephones, mobile phones, printers, fax machines, etc. ‘s item. Machinery, copiers, calculators, typewriters, flat panel televisions, stereos, radios, projectors, cable equipment, video equipment, VCRs, video game equipment, etc.

The event is open to residents of Apache Junction City and the surrounding area of ​​Pinal County. Participants are responsible for transporting goods to city collection points and will be asked to show proof of residency.
