Hugh Jackman has shared some behind-the-scenes footage from the set of Deadpool & Wolverine, admitting he did something unexpected for the crew.
In the video, Jackman is seen in costume scratching out a lottery ticket, and he explains that he started the tradition as a tribute to the hardworking crew who made the film possible.
“I can't remember the exact reason why I started handing out Scratchies on Fridays. Maybe it was because I wanted the cool kids to like me, or maybe it was because I wanted to say hello to all the people who work tirelessly to make movies,” he wrote in the caption of an Instagram post on Wednesday.
The famous actor explained a bit about the reason behind this act of kindness and shared his heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the film.
“All those whose names appear in the credits are the unsung heroes of filmmaking,” Jackman wrote on social media.
“And to this day, Scratchy Friday continues. I love it. I love all of these people. I love all of us. #deadpoolandwolverine.”
He joked around in the video, scratching away at his own lottery ticket, adding his own bit of light-hearted humor.
“I'll buy you a drink,” he joked, as he began scratching through the cards and searching for his fortune.
“If it's $5, I'll take it,” he said in the video clip.
