Board of directors Humboldt Unified School District (HUSD) is pleased to announce that the following two candidates have been nominated as finalists for Superintendent of Education:
Dr. Eric Duppen Raised in the Chino Valley area and started his career at HUSD. He currently serves as Chief Academic Officer for the Clayton Elementary School District in Tempe. Prior to that, he was a principal and vice principal in the same school district.
Dr. Christine Griffin A five-year HUSD employee with 21 years of experience in Yavapai County. For the past two years, she has served as Executive Director of Education Services and Innovation. She has also served as principal of Granville Elementary School and Cottonwood She-Oak She-Creek School District and Sedona She-K-8 Intervention Coordinator.
Join HUSD as each finalist will be interviewed by consultants with pre-determined questions developed based on community stakeholder input received in early April. The forum will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 5:00 pm at the Regional Office in the Transportation Training Room in Building 500. Candidates are restricted to answering only the questions provided by the consultant. Participants can provide feedback at the end of the interview. We look forward to your participation.
The Board will meet in a special session on Thursday, May 11 to conduct final interviews and make decisions.
