Gerardo Rivera announced his departure from Fox News in a Twitter video on Thursday, saying Friday morning’s “Fox & Friends” could be his final appearance.

Rivera joined the network in 2001 as a war correspondent, but had previously announced his departure from “The Five” in a newspaper on June 21. Rivera and Gutfeld had a heated discussion about abortion on the May 4 show, in which Gutfeld criticized celebrities celebrating abortion and Rivera called the late-night host “arrogant.” .

“Good luck, Gerald. Keep going,” Gutfeld said near the end of the exchange. “You are making a fool of yourself.”
“Can I talk to you? Do you know anything about insulting punks?” Rivera replied.
The two also clashed in the aftermath of two sexual assaults at Loudoun County High School that were reportedly covered up by the Loudoun County Board of Education.
Rivera also clashed with host Lawrence Jones on May 26 over illegal immigration.
“Looking at the dark side, I think there’s a lot to see there, but if you look at my vision of an optimistic America, the rule is that you can also have the American Dream. said Rivera. “If you play by the rules.”
