Charles Barkley is one of the most famous figures in sports media and one of the most famous Auburn alumni. Barkley joined the broadcast from Neville Arena during the second half of Wednesday night's Auburn-Alabama game and, as usual, cracked some hilarious banter.

Speaking about his statue on Auburn's campus, Barkley said he wanted to thank the school for “letting him lean.”

Barkley also offered his take on the rivalry, calling his alma mater the University of Alabama's “stepchild.”

“I'm sure you're going to get in trouble for saying this. We're like stepchildren,” Barclay said. “We'll never be Alabama. If we play them at anything, we want to beat them.”

In addition to commenting on the size of his statue's belly and the dynamic between the two schools, Barkley also gave some actual basketball impressions about the game, noting that Alabama will have a hard time against Auburn's big men due to its size. I said it correctly.

“Alabama is full of little, skinny guys,” Barkley declared.

“Coach Oats does a great job. When I was watching the game early on, I said, “Coach Oats does a great job. [Johni] It should be a great night in Broome. Because Alabama, their guard is great, but they don't have the size inside. ”

Berkeley's assessment was correct. Bloom had 24 points and seven rebounds, leading Auburn to an 18-point victory over its “Stepparent” nemesis.
