Pop Tarts Bowl is back! And more glory!
During the 2023 college football bowl season, one of the biggest games that drew attention from fans was the PopTarts Bowl, largely because it included an edible mascot. Well, that feature has been enhanced in a big way, with not only the return of the edible mascots in this year’s bowl, but three!
In the first PopTarts Bowl, Kansas State was the winner and got to celebrate by literally eating an edible version of the game’s mascot. In other words, they got to eat the giant Pop-Tarts that dreams are made of.
Oh, and on top of that, an extra large pastry was delivered to me on a toaster prop, which was absolutely amazing. (Related: UNLV football is charging an arm and a leg for pizza and chicken wings)
The 2024 version of the game will feature three different mascots. But it’s not just about having multiple Pop-Tarts at your disposal. In reality, it’s a competition to see who gets to eat the official pastry. Make our sport even more sporty!
Frosted Strawberry, the 2023 Pop-Tart Bowl flavor, will not be included in this year’s version of the game. Three different flavors are competing here: Frosted Wild Berry, Hot Fudge Sundae, and the fan-favorite Mystery Flavor.
The 2024 Poptarts Bowl will be played between ACC and Big 12 schools. December 28th Kickoff time is 3:30pm ET.
