Conley said police had a difficult time arresting Castellanos-Orellana because the Honduran illegal immigrant used aliases such as “Elf Rocket” to evade detection and arrest by authorities.
“Illegal immigration continues to be a challenge for local law enforcement for a variety of reasons. Lack of access to data, false identities, and language barriers place local law enforcement at a significant disadvantage. ,” Conley said. “We cannot be sure that illegal aliens are providing accurate information about their name and date of birth. It not only wastes police resources, it wastes local police budgets and taxpayer funds. That will happen.”
