An illegal immigrant suspect who beat up two New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers on Wednesday angered reporters after being released without bail.
On Saturday, a group of illegal immigrants allegedly beat up two New York City police officers in Times Square. Video footage appears to show two police officers speaking to a group of migrants before fighting breaks out. Several illegal immigrants then began punching and kicking the officers.

After being released from detention, 22-year-old João Boada brushed reporters away with both hands. According to reports, Boada and the remaining suspects were charged with second-degree assault on a police officer and obstruction of public administration. new york post (New York).
Other footage obtained by Fox News shows two other suspects leaving the courtroom, one looking away at reporters and the other laughing.
The other perpetrators have been identified as 19-year-old Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel, 19-year-old Kelvin Servita Arocha, and 21-year-old Wilson Juarez. Three other suspects are still at large, according to the Post.
New York Gov. Cathy Hochul, a Democrat, told reporters Wednesday that violent deportations of immigrants should not be off the table.
“So if someone commits a crime against a police officer in the state of New York, and the officer is not here legally, it's definitely worth looking into,” Hochul said, according to NYP. It is said that
“They are law enforcement officers and should not be physically assaulted under any circumstances,” Hochul continued. “That's wrong no matter how you look at it, and I expect the judge and prosecutors to do the right thing.”
