The number of illegal immigration crossings at the U.S.-Canada border in the past three months exceeded the total for fiscal years 2021 and 2022 combined, according to federal data updated Friday.
Border Patrol recorded 3,846 encounters with immigrants who illegally entered the United States from Canada between October and December. according to to the data. In both fiscal years 2021 and 2022, there were a total of 3,154 encounters with illegal immigrants at the northern border.

“The men and women of CBP continue to enforce our nation's immigration laws at and between ports of entry and continue to work with our Mexican partners along our common border. “We remain vigilant in responding to the serious challenges facing the United States,” said Troy A. President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signed a deal in March to crack down on immigration into the United States, but illegal immigration from Canada to the United States has only increased.
Dan Cowan, a northern border resident, says things are getting worse on his property.
