The British journalist Pierce Morgan’s show slowly became known for its unfiltered panelists. We’ve grown over the past year by keeping our guests visibly and invisible.
Morgan’s show Piers Morgan Uncensored began streaming on YouTube in February 2024 after moving from the original British television network TalkTV. Since the move, Morgan has not only engaged in intense discussions of himself, but also primarily sided with tense discussions between his own guests. 1. Historical meltdown from progressive activists
In the summer of 2024, Democrats intensified their attacks on President Donald Trump after a New York ju-gover convicted him on all 34 counts of forged business records in a case filed by Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Republicans and Trump supporters argued that the incident was politically motivated by the then Republican presidential candidate, but Democrats rejected the allegation. On a June 2024 episode, Daily Wire’s Michael J. Knowles called on progressive activist Francesca Fioretini about the lack of understanding of the incident when he opposed the panel’s Trump defense.
“Well, let’s ask right away… what crimes did Trump commit at that point?” Morgan asked Fioretini.
“It was a campaign – it was a financial crime,” Fiorentini replied. “It was a white-collar crime. That was exactly what they charged him and he was convicted.”
Both Morgan and Knowles pressed Fiorentini to specify the exact crime Trump committed, yelling, “That’s New York State Law!” The progressive activist tried to push back to the panel, but was later seen looking down – perhaps on her phone – criminal defense attorney Mark Jelagos called a lack of understanding of her case.
clock:
“We don’t intend to choose Francesca here, but even the Liberals who are on TV to protect this ruling are very informed that they have to google on breaks to figure out what the crime is, and yet they say they’re misrepresenting what the crime actually was supposed to be,” Knowledge says.
“I’m not literally me, so I’ll google search [job]! I said he was cooking books. That’s the same thing,” Fiorentini jumped in.
2. Panelists want to throw away
Just a month before the November 2024 election, Democrats and former vice president Kamala Harris’ campaigns shoved up the attack on Trump, comparing him to Hitler, warning him that if he was elected for a second term, he would end democracy.
During CNN Town Hall on October 23, Harris publicly said Trump was a fascist and further increased tensions between political parties. On the same month’s episode, journalist Wajahat Ali and conservative radio host Ben Ferguson became a heated exchange as Ali threatened Ferguson after being challenged in his defense of comparing Trump to Hitler.
“When you start calling the Hitler people, it’s in the context. Once you start talking about the context,” Ferguson said.
“Ben, don’t put on a gallop. Ben, I’m about to kick your ass. Don’t cries the gallop. Just listen to me. I’ve listened to you,” Ali replied.
clock:
“Now there’s nothing spoken about what’s important to those who are hurting and suffering in this country. No one has ever been told they’ve been united. There are illegal immigrants and convicted terrorists are crossing the border, along with those who are struggling in this country.
Democrats pointed to allegations from former Trump aides comparing the president to Adolf Hitler, but former President Joe Biden sparked backlash after calling Trump supporters “trash” in an interview.
3. Lack of empathy
In addition to Trump’s frequent hooking on Morgan’s panel, the December 2024 episode sparked tensions, focusing on the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Thompson, 50, was fatally shot outside a New York hotel on December 4th by 26-year-old Luigi Mangione. Following the capture of Manhunt and Mangion, some Democrats and online activists began to express their sympathy for the alleged killer.
In the segment, Democrat political commentator Brina Joy Gray told Morgan that he “has endless sympathy for the individual as a person of personal abilities,” but when it comes to Thompson’s role in United Healthcare, he “saves” empathy. Morgan pushed her further, revealing whether she had “empathy” with the CEO after his public execution.
“I don’t personally,” Gray said.
clock:
“Yeah. I understand, at least you’re honest,” replied Morgan. “I mean, I think this is incredible. You need to remember that the left should be a party that bothers you. They all have a ‘kind’ hashtag. They are compassionate, kind, and they can’t even bring it to their hearts.
The response from Gray later sparked Steve Bannon’s “Warroom” host Natalie Winters, calling for a response.
“I’m not a supporter of the US healthcare system or equipment. Trust me. There are a lot of issues that need to be fixed and adjusted there. But in reality, I’m assassinating him by saying what these two panelists are doing, “Well, the healthcare system,” Winters said.
“You just said you don’t have any empathy and think about what people are doing by shooting down medical executives for bad decisions.”
4. Grinning and assassination
In another tense exchange over the defense of Mangion’s alleged actions, Morgan called out former Washington Post columnist Taylor Lorenz, debating Thompson’s assassination.
Already facing backlash from public comments about Mangione and the assassination, Lorenz appeared to be grinning as Morgan and the Panel discussed the death of the 50-year-old CEO.
“Taylor, I’m not going to be rude, but why are you laughing all the time?” Morgan jumped. “I won’t get it. Sorry. I apologize for my language, but honestly, it makes me unbelievable. What are you laughing at?”
clock:
“I’m laughing at Tomi’s insane mischaracteristics about why people are mad. It has nothing to do with occupying Wall Street. This is the feeling people feel on the left and right,” Lorenz said. “We don’t think this health system is once again killing thousands of innocent Americans who also Tomi has families. These people are being killed by our wild, evil, for-profit health system.”
After Thompson’s death, Lorenz received an online pushback after her I’ve taken it We have released a now-retrieved policy to Bluesky to accommodate Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and to deny requests for specific anesthesia procedures.
“And people wonder why we want to die these executives,” writes Lorenz.
Former Washington Post columnist later I’ve taken it Make it clear to her online blog that she didn’t mean “that people should kill them.”
5. TDS damage
In one of Morgan’s recent March episodes, the panel chuckled to the laughs as Vinny Oshana, co-host of the “PBD Podcast,” brought out photos of celebrities to show the effects before and after the so-called “Trump Mad Syndrome.”
The term, popularized in Trump’s first term, refers to individuals who express extreme or irrational views about the former president. Many in Hollywood once embraced Trump, but after the 2016 victory, the tide changed. Celebrities like Cathy Griffin and Rosie O’Donnell attacked him repeatedly.
“This is Rosie O’Donnell before Trump, right? Well, good. What happens, the pier, Trump crazy syndrome, now, Rachel Madow! “She looks like Stephen Colbert.”
clock:
When Oshana revealed O’Donnell’s first photo, some of the panel struggled to hold back the laughs before continuing to present more examples of the “TDS” effect.
“Then look, Kathy Griffin, someone I might have connected if I was drunk. Did they turn her into a carrot top?
After Trump won his second victory in November 2024, O’Donnell announced that he had left the US with his daughter in March.
