‘I’m Going To Move On’: Harris Faulkner Spars With Liberal Guest Over Vice President’s ‘Press Blunders’

Fox News host Harris Faulkner shut down a liberal guest on Friday who tried to explain why Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to ramble on during an unscripted segment.

Harris has not held any press conferences or interviews since President Joe Biden announced on July 21 that he would not seek reelection, but she did hold one impromptu briefing with the media, which lasted about a minute and 10 seconds. According to “I think it's a bit of a stretch to think that Harris has been in the spotlight,” he told The New York Times. After playing a montage of Harris' “buzzworthy” moments with the media, Faulkner asked Democratic strategist Richard Fowler about Harris' moments. “I think you mentioned some reporting gaffes, but every politician has those. There have been some great reporting moments,” Fowler argued. “I remember one time in particular when she was in Ghana, and when she was asked about Ghana's policy towards the LGBT community, she immediately responded that LGBTQ rights are human rights and that the rights they have in the United States should be the same rights they have in Ghana. And she said that in front of the president of Ghana, who was trying to pass a law making homosexuality illegal. So I think we've seen moments where she stood up and took a very strong stance in front of the press.”

“I think you're going to see more moments like this as the ABC debate and the campaign continues,” Fowler continued. “Right now, like I said, I think she's trying to wrap up her campaign. She's trying to meet with delegates and voters. She's trying to visit all the battleground states. But I think she'll be doing interviews.”

“Ghana is a beautiful country with beautiful people,” Faulkner replied, to which Fowler agreed, adding: “She also needs to answer a question about another country that ends with 'A' – America.”

Faulkner and Fowler had numerous exchanges, with Fowler complaining about Faulkner broadcasting footage from Poland and attempting to return to Ghana before Faulkner silenced him.

“Fine, but look at it all. And if you could give me one example outside of the one country you gave, maybe even one example of our country, like we did with the montage, I would understand the backlash,” Faulkner told Fowler, “but I don't think that's the case right now. Let's move on.”

In national head-to-head races, Harris leads former President Donald Trump by 0.5 percentage points. According to According to the average of RealClear polls from July 22 to August 7, the vice president increase If the survey includes Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein and independent presidential candidates Cornel West and Robert F.
