After some of the most high-profile retirements in Alabama's modern history, the state's most prominent meteorologist reassured his audience on social media that he has no plans to retire.
James Spann said Thursday morning's Rick and Bubba announcement seemed to spark rumors that he too might be ending his broadcasting career.
“That's far from the truth,” Spann said of the retirement rumors. “I’m just getting started… Thanks to my good health, I’m physically better than I was in my 20s, and my mental cognition is better than ever.”
“Some people get slower as they get older, but I get faster.”
