Democrat Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman said he was “not afraid” if his own daughter was “reaped” by a biological man.
In a joint speech to Congress on Tuesday, President Donald Trump discussed an enforcement order banning women from participating in sports, with Payton McNabb as a guest. “Bluwork Podcast with Tim Miller,” Fetterman discussed transgender athletes in women’s sports.
“I’m not stupid either. I know polls, and now a lot of people say it’s ridiculous, and for me, it’s when it feels like it’s time for me to say I’m not trying to bully or I’m not going to break them down,” Fetterman said. “And now you know, we are 13 million people in our state. And a small few people involved in it. And I have a 13-year-old daughter, she plays basketball. And I’m not afraid of her being mowed.”
Fetterman said the controversial issues of trans athletes participating in sports should be addressed locally despite having a significant impact and impact on the nation as a whole.
“It’s handled at a very hyper-local level, and it turns them into a more appropriate problem by dropping them into meat shattering and using them as weapons. And I know I’m not stupid,” Fetterman said. “I know there’s a commercial with ‘Fetterman for them/them’ and some, some, some, some, some. And I’m like, “Hey, you know, it’s like bringing it.” I’m not afraid to stand by my side about it. ”
Recognizing the potential repulsion, Fetterman said he was rebellious.
“I made that choice and maybe I tried to cut my head down, like many other colleagues decided to do,” Fetterman said. “But for me, I think that’s the kind of time I know it’s not politically popular.” (Related: ‘f*ck you!’: Megyn Kelly lists Dems that “have to target” in the mid-term after refusing to protect women’s sports)
