Democratic strategist James Kerrville said in a podcast Thursday that he doesn’t understand how to counter President Donald Trump’s second term of overactivity.
Former Trump Advisor Steve Bannon I said In 2018, “How to deal with it” [the media] It’s about flooding the zone with shit. “Kerville, hisPolitical War Room“The podcast said Bannon was right to say it, begging the audience for “help” in deciding how to effectively oppose Trump. “Bannon is right. We’re overflowing with shit and we’re looking for ways to deal with this. These are extremely difficult times,” Kerrville said. “And he’s just… going on with stupid things one after another.”
Democrat strategists then criticized Trump’s plan for the US to “take over” the Gaza Strip, Panama Canal and Greenland.
“The point is that we’re having these conversations. We talk to people on the phone, go to cocktail parties or dinner. When we sit and watch, take one at a time, it’s much more than we can imagine. It’s crazy, “There’s this debate,” Kerrville added. “And one of the dangers we have is that we’re just like that. It’s just elevator music or something.”
“And I don’t know how you will emphasize. Do you oppose one thing? Do you oppose all five? Is it a HR issue?” he asked. “Is it a policy issue? …I’m struggling a bit here, so maybe some of our really clever viewers can help us solve that a bit. Who? It’s really intertwined because you don’t know where to land, either. It’s all unclear.”
Democrats are angry with their own voters as left-wing bases demand more action to combat the cost-cutting efforts of Trump and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). It has been reported. They argue that their status as minority parties in both rooms limits their ability to resist the Trump administration’s agenda.
Democrats also appear to be split over how they oppose Trump’s agenda, but others argue that they resist everything while others try to cross the aisle.
Kerrville also marveled at Trump’s ability to “keep running” despite what he thought was “killing a political career.” He specifically called for Trump’s 2022 dinner with rapper Ye and prominent anti-Semble Nick Fuentes.
MSNBC contributor Sam Stein said similar points about Trump in December, but focused on the president’s legal battle.
“I think the real lesson from all of this is to say what you do about Donald Trump, but he has the attributes that distinguish him from others in politics. He often only crushes what other politicians succumb to. And he can understand it, he will just take his way, and he will fight it. And He turns it into his interests, and he became a martial teacher at the trial.”
