YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Arizona highlands through Friday.
Lower desert chances are less than 15% today, but will increase to 10-20% by Friday.
Also on the rise this week is the dew point. Conditions will be wet by Thursday and will continue through Friday.

There is a higher chance of rain on Friday.
Stronger winds are expected through Friday, with gusts of up to 20-30 mph.

A continuous discharge from the Painted Rock Dam continues down the Gila River through Yuma County.
Flood warnings along the Gila River between the Painted Rock Dam and the Colorado River have been extended for an additional seven days, at least until May 23.

Temperatures are expected to remain well above normal through Wednesday, returning to normal levels Thursday through Friday.
Temperatures warmed up again over the weekend, with highs returning to triple digits.
