The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 37-year-old Miguel Pacheco after crashing an off-highway vehicle (OHV).
The seven- and seventeen-year-olds were treated for injuries on the scene, but the 19-month-old children were kicked out of the vehicle during a rollover crash and succumbed to injuries caused by ejection. The infant was not in the child’s safety seat or wearing appropriate child restraints.
Pacheco was booked at the Coconino County Detention Facility. He is charged with manslaughter, aggravated assault by dangerous measures of three counts, two counts of felony risk, possession/use of drug drugs, DUI drugs, aggravated DUI (suspended/revoked license) and reckless driving. He is bound by a $500,000 bond with cash only.
