If you live in Eastern Arizona, here is important information about the Eastern Arizona Hispanic Heritage Corporation.
First of all, I have to introduce myself (including background) to make the information credible.
My wife and I (both 75) are from Morenci, graduated in ’66 and ’65 respectively, and have been married for 53 years. Lived in Safford since ’86. Three children graduated from her SHS. We are parishioners of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. I play Requinto (Mexican guitar) in the Spanish Choir (Coro Mensajero).
I am an Eagle Scout, have served in the United States Army, have AA and BS degrees in EAC and ASU, and a State Enrollment Board (PE, Mechanical Engineering) in Arizona.
No federal or state crimes (felonies).
Eastern Arizona Hispanic Heritage Corporation (EAHHc) is heritage and tradition, education and scholarship.
Having exposed myself briefly, I hope my explanation of EAHHc is true, accurate, and acceptable to the reader, the community.
Michael Andazola and I founded the Graham County Hispanic Family Heritage in 2015. In 2017, the group was renamed Eastern AZ Hispanic Heritage and incorporated as such in 2019, but the IRS determined that it is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code. (c) (3). Donors may deduct contributions under IRC Section 170.
Our original intention was two-fold. Since our founding, we have never wavered.
1. Celebrate Hispanic heritage through music, dance, food, arts, architecture and crafts. Most importantly, it recognizes individuals, families and groups such as individuals, families and groups who have made a lasting and/or impressive contribution to the welfare and maintenance of culture./15 to 10/15) at was recently held at the Eastern Arizona College campus.
2. Eastern Arizona University Foundation Scholarship. There is no discrimination (regardless of age, nationality, gender, religion or affiliation) for students enrolled in the EAC, as the profits from the event, certain donations and assigned sponsorships will be transferred to the Foundation. Please check the attached spreadsheet for clarity.
Mr. Andazola and I established an endowment in the Eastern Arizona College Foundation of approximately $26,000 in the name of EAHHc. The fund is perpetual and creates an annual scholarship from the proceeds.
Because when you ask a town or city for sponsorship or donations, this is a win-win situation, not a political predicament. I am a Safford taxpayer who has been an adult voter. When a town or city sponsors or donates to this worthy cause, I see nothing but good intentions. Donations are tax deductible. Sponsoring or donating to this company is done wisely and responsibly. Students at Eastern Arizona College benefit from these scholarships and help change the world.
Please continue to support us instead of denigrating what is good for community education and EAC students.
