PHOENIX — An investigation is underway after two bodies were found inside an SUV in West Valley, officials said.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that it responded to reports of suspicious vehicles near MC 85 and Cotton Lane shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.
When deputies arrived, they found two dead inside, Jorge Guadalupe Rodriguez Leyva, 54, and Violeta Amado Correa, 48.
Police said the caller said the vehicle was a white Ford Expedition parked on the shoulder of the road with what appeared to be a bullet hole.
The Homicide Division of the Serious Crimes Unit is investigating the case.
Authorities say there are no suspects.
