Jim Harbaugh in Sin City? …I can dig it!
I recently blogged about the Los Angeles Chargers beginning their head coaching search and reportedly considering Jim Harbaugh of the Michigan Wolverines (and Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots). Well, Harbaugh is now reportedly being targeted by another franchise in another sexy city, the Las Vegas Raiders.
Interestingly, Harbaugh recently hired NFL agent Don Yee, who also represents Tom Brady, and plans to court an NFL organization after Monday night's National Championship.
Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the expressed interest between Harbaugh and the Raiders is mutual, with Brady advising owner Mark Davis on the matter. It is reported that. As we all know, Brady is in the process of purchasing a minority stake in the Raiders. (Related: Keepin' It Real: Michigan's JJ McCarthy made some eye-opening comments…and he's probably right)
Here's the rest Bonsignore report:
“Brady's business partnership and growing friendship with Davis almost certainly mean the former quarterback will provide some input into the Raiders' coaching search. Given his relationship with Harbaugh, both are at the University of Michigan. played and now share the same agent, and it's easy to connect the dots.
Yee's hiring changes everything, and as an NFL source familiar with the situation suggested on Tuesday, Harbaugh's move to the Raiders is very “effective.” ”
Feel free to speculate about Jim Harbaugh coming.@Raidersas the next head coach. And there's a growing sense that it might happen again this time. My story: https://t.co/2BYdzSqNHA
