Known as one of the most infamous and polarizing logos in hockey history, it has been brought back on a permanent basis, but in the American Hockey League (AHL) rather than the NHL.
You're probably familiar with the New York Islanders. Initially, this logo was 1995-96 The New York Islanders introduced teal to their team in season one, at which point they introduced teal to their team color scheme. However, this was a terrible time for the team, so the logo was eventually retired in 1997. It's a part of Islanders history that everyone associated with the team would like to forget ever existed. Play has now resumed full time in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with the Islanders announcing the news on social media in a schedule announcement video.
