The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) “conducted targeted strikes” in Lebanon on Tuesday against Hezbollah commanders behind the recent deaths of Israeli children, an Israeli military press statement said.

The IDF did not name the target of the attack in its post, which was reportedly Fuad Shukr, alias Hajj Mohsin, named by Israeli authorities as the commander of the terrorist organization's precision missile program, The Times of Israel reported. The red line appears to be a missile that struck the Druze village of Majdal Shams in Israel's Golan Heights on Saturday, which Israel Defense Forces officials said was fired by Hezbollah. More than 30 civilians were wounded in the attack, and 12 children were killed, according to Axios.
It was not immediately confirmed whether the Hezbollah commander was killed in the attack.
